The Pennsylvania Sections of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) provide a state-specific Report Card on the Commonwealth’s Infrastructure so that each citizen and decision maker can understand how Pennsylvania’s infrastructure is doing.  The 2014 PA Report Card was released on June 25, 2014 and gave the Commonwealth an overall grade of C-.  Over 55 experts from the four Pennsylvania Sections evaluated 16 infrastructure categories:  bridges, dams, drinking water, energy, freight rail, hazardous waste, inland waterways, levees, parks and recreation, ports, roads, schools, solid waste, stormwater, transit, and wastewater.  Hagerty Environmental’s Principal Engineer, Paul A. Hagerty, P.E., P.G., was one of these experts and co-authored the Hazardous Waste section, which received a grade of B-.  The full Report Card and contributor bios can be found at:  http://www.pareportcard.org/PARC2014/grades.php?grade=hazardous_waste
